Paro, Weekend Market, Hot Stone Bath in Bhutan

Paro Paro is usually the last stop for the tourists before they leave Bhutan. There are many souvenir shops and cafes on the main street. Since there are no traffic light, two "traffic circles" facilitate traffic for the intersection at the end of the main street. How cute! We also visited the National Museum and Kyichu Lhakhang. Below is Paro as seen from the National Museum. Paro Weekend Market The weather was sunny and cool. The weekend market was abuzz with locals who'd come to buy/sell their produce. The farmers bring their products to sell in this market every Sunday. It certainly made for a very colourful and vibrant street! Most of the locals use the local woven baskets for marketing. The market is divided into a few sections:- vegetables, meat, dried goods, etc. More stalls selling different products :- vegetables and pork. The traditional way to weigh the blood sausage. South Korea : Naesosa Temple Stay Day 1

After going through the many temple-stay write-ups and information-overloading, TM and I chose Naesosa Temple for our first temple-stay. Naesosa Temple : View from the Mountain Temple-stay selection and duration The selection criteria : Not in a major city, free-and-easy program(free-style program), not too challenging to get to, and near the mountain. I was attracted to the Naesosa description of "a thousand year old temple", its write-up and the beautiful mountain and scenery photos. Seoul Food: Insadong Michelin Eats

Insadong Michelin Restaurants Although Insadong may have less shopping but there are more delightful discoveries within it. For this trip, I decided to eat at reasonable priced michelin(bib) restaurants/shops in Insadong. A Flower Blossom in the Rice I arrived at about 11:30am, and the restaurant was already full. The staff suggested a 1pm slot. I ordered the Bojagi-wrapped Bibimap. The Taiwanese staff(or owner?) is conversant in multi-languages told me that the flower is edible, and to take my time in taking photographs before she cuts open the egg. My mood was lifted by her thoughtfulness, and the friendly and cosy ambience within. Tossed with the fragrant sesame oil, the dish is tasty individually or mixed together. The lunch set also come with side dishes and refillable Barchan. Peace Boat 116 - Pacific Ocean Crossing Day 1 - 35

It was a chance click on Peace Boat's Instagram advertisement that I took notice of its voyages. The beginning - Peace Boat It's s outhern Hemisphere voyage sailed from Yokohama across the Pacific Ocean to South America, across the Atlantic Ocean to Africa and then the Indian Ocean back to Yokohama. Out of the twenty port of calls, I had only been to two - Buenos Aires and Ushuaia. The other ports are some of the interesting and exotics cities that seem out-of-reach for me to travel to, and there is the bonus experience to cross the three oceans and round the two capes. The Pandemic Walks

It always puzzled me why people walked during the day in Singapore. The weather is far too hot and humid, unless they do it for specific event? If not, why? Then the pandemic struck, and I started walking (even during daytime) out of necessity to occupy time and slow the creeping up of the reading on the weighing scale. When the day/walking alone got too daunting and/or boring, I am thankful for friends who I can fall back to chat and walks together. I appreciate their time and effort to organise the walks too. 🙌 Looking back at the past more than one year, it is quite amazing to think of how many walks I've been on since the pandemic.
