Gyeongju Cherry Blossom viewing in Cheomseongdae Observatory, Wolseong, Bomun Lake

We booked a One-Day Gyeongju Cherry Blossom trip with Klook, and the tour was conducted by Ktourstory. We met and set off from Busan Station, and after about 1 1/2 hours, we arrived at GyeongJu's UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cheomseongdae Observatory and Daereungwon Tomb Complex.
Gyeongju Cherry Blossom, South Korea
Gyeongju, is also known as the museum without walls. From the coach, we could see several ancient tombs on the open fields.

Fortunately , it was not so crowded yet. The tour guide provided the time and place for meet-up before we dispersed to the different viewing locations. We walked along the wall by the road that was flanked by cherry blossoms tree on both side. So pretty.

We retraced our path but on the other side of the road so as to enjoy the scenery for a longer time.

After our walk, we had an early lunch so as to avoid the crowd. There was no English menu in the restaurant and thus we pointed to the food ordered by the next table. The food was good and reasonably priced.
After our lunch, we proceeded to walk to the other viewing sites.
Cheomseongdae Observatory
It has 362 stones piled up into 27 levels of stone blocks. The 362 stones represented the 362 days in a lunar year, and the pavilion stone is believed to be used for North, South, East and West direction.

Historic Site - Wolseong
The site was not crowded, which added to the view. The ground was still covered in fallen leaves and it contrasted with the white cherry blossoms. (To me, it was the most beautiful sight in the Gyeongju Cherry Blossom site).

It was getting very crowded by the time we set off for Bomun Lake, another Cherry Blossom viewing site.
Bomun Lake
It was too crowded to enjoy the cherry blossom viewing, but we took a quick walk around the lake anyway.

We crossed the wooden bridge and headed back to the coach.

Although it was a long day, we enjoyed ourselves admiring the cherry blossom and were also glad to have visited a new tourist site in South Korea.

Thoughts
The tour was well-run by Ktourstory. Each of us was given a bottle of mineral water and a bun as snack. The tour guide, Victoria, was friendly, efficient and clear in her instructions. In the future, I will check out its website if I intend to do other day-trip in South Korea.
I was surprised that the restaurant did not have a English menu as Gyeongju is a popular tourist site;).
