Walking Austria Vienna Christmas Markets - Night and Day!

One of the reasons that we wanted to visit Vienna during winter was the Christmas Markets!
Rathausplatz Christkindlmarkt
We made our way to the Rathausplatz Christkindlmarkt on our first evening in Vienna. It was indeed enchanting with the lightings, stalls selling various christmas goods, the cold weather and the huge christmas tree!

We walked through the lanes that were lined with stalls. There were many items that attracted me, but alas we were at the start of the trip, and thus we resisted buying them.

We went into the building for hot coffee and also a toilet break. Within the building were many stalls selling christmas goodies as well.

Maria Theresien Platz
We were on the tram to the Belvedere Christmas Market when we saw the Christmas Market at Maria Theresien Platz. Seeing the light-up of the Museum Quarters buildings and the rows of stalls, we quickly decided to alight at the next tram stop to visit it.

Equally enchanting, we wandered around the stalls, taking in the sights of the Christmas gift and display.

We then proceed to Belvedere Palace.
Belvedere Palace Christmas Village
Although there were less stalls, the attraction is the Belvedere Palace as the background to the market. It added a grandeur to the atmosphere and ambience. We had some snacks as we walked through the market. We then walked to the gate at the far-end to take photos of the Palace and the Christmas Market.
