Landed in Frankfurt, and bought the train ticket to Hamburg from the DB ticket information counter. I managed to lug my extremely heavy 23.8kg of luggage up the 4 steps to board the train. <<Thank goodness, my arm remained intact>>

After taking the staff's suggestion to reserve the a seat, I had slight regret to pay the addition seat-reservation fee as I assumed that the train would be similar to the crowded Swiss train. It turned out that the train was crowded with passengers coming on and off at the various stations. <<I was glad that the staff suggested reserving the seat>>
