Landed in Frankfurt, and bought the train ticket to Hamburg from the DB ticket information counter. I managed to lug my extremely heavy 23.8kg of luggage up the 4 steps to board the train. <<Thank goodness, my arm remained intact>>
After taking the staff's suggestion to reserve the a seat, I had slight regret to pay the addition seat-reservation fee as I assumed that the train would be similar to the less crowded Swiss train. It turned out that the train was crowded with passengers coming on and off at the various stations. <<I was glad that the staff suggested reserving the seat>>
